DJ Khaled’s Over-the-Top Florida Mansion Has a New Owner

It’s a “No Brainer” that American DJ, producer, and record executive DJ Khaled is one of the most over-the-top celebrities right now—from his colorful fashion sense to epic birthday parties for his three-year-old son Asahd. It seems like that eclectic and aesthetic style also applies to his choice of real estate.

He used to own a 3-story Mediterranean-style mansion located on a private island in Miami. The 6,700-square-foot abode stands on a half-acre lot located inside a gated community dubbed the Island Estates.

The I’m the One music producer bought the 5-bedroom, 7-bathroom property in 2015 for $3.84 million. He then invested an additional $2.5 million for upgrades and renovations that aptly reflect his luxurious taste and style.

His high-end additions include a chandelier made of 14-karat gold and decked with Swarovski crystals. It also has a walk-in shoe closet that stored Khaled’s famous sneaker collection, with tons of shoes occupying the floor-to-ceiling custom-built shelves. To top it all off, the master suite is lined with purple velvet and is fitted with an elevated platform for the massive bed.

The luxe details don’t end there, though. The Florida mansion also has a number of unique rooms and spots just like the home theater with velvet paneling and coffered ceilings. The home also has a wine cellar, a home office showcasing Khaled’s memorabilia and designed with mahogany detailing, and a formal living room featuring double-height windows and a carved wood mantel fireplace. It also has an elevator that lets you reach all of its three floors.

When you step out onto the backyard, you’ll be greeted with amazing views of the Biscayne Bay. The outdoor area is also a great entertainment spot to host parties with its huge pool, fire pit, bamboo grove, and hot tub. The property also features a boat dock spanning 50 feet.

However, the 44-year-old music exec, who was born Khaled Mohamed Khaled, has decided to give up the property. He first listed it in 2018 with a price tag of $7.99 million. It was recently sold to a new owner, who is reportedly a tech mogul based in Florida. Although the final price remains undisclosed, the New York Post reported that the most recent asking price was at $5.99 million.

Even though he has parted ways with the mansion, Khaled and his family are currently living in a different waterfront mansion in Miami Beach. He bought the 2,750-square-foot property for $25.9 million in 2018. Its former owner is the guy who made the yellow “Baby on Board” sign famous, marketer and childproofing product-maker Michael Lerner.

DJ Khaled now lives in another Miami Beach mansion

Designed by Cesar Molina, the property features a main house that has 5 bedrooms and a guest house that has an additional four bedrooms. It also boasts an elevator, a two-level gazebo, an outdoor shower, a home theater, a fireplace, and a safe room. The abode is also equipped with an 80-foot-long swimming pool and a total of 10 and a half bathrooms.

For someone with a portfolio of massive hits and a net worth of $65 million, we expect nothing less from DJ Khaled.
